Hello and Happy weekend!!!
I’ve made it through my first week of school — WHOOT WHOOT! It went
well. All but Thursday — I had an oncologist appointment and my
daughter had an ortho appointment so that kind of threw a wrench into
my day of schooling — got all but Elizabeth done. But — I don’t
plan much on Fridays so we were able to catch up today! So I have a new hobby!!! I had put a photo powerpoint presentation
together for my daughter’s 13th birthday last year (birth to 13 kind of
thing). My hubby bought me a program that makes DVDs, so I
transferred her little show over to it, added some titles and comments
and music and WA LA! it came out really nice!
So now, I’m making a DVD photo show (put to music) for each year we
have been married. I have 2003 and 2004 done (these took only
about 4 hours each). These were pretty easy to do as we’ve had a
digital camera since then. It will be more time consuming to go
back in time as I have to scan things in or take a digital of the
original photo. But it’s really fun to do – as fun as making my
photo scrapbooks — and MUCH less messy!
If I can figure out how to get a video thing working on my site I’ll upload one of them!
Well — that’s about all. I will be on a little less often as
school has started and my time is a bit more limited — but I so enjoy
keeping up on all of you!! Just probably won’t be posting as
often.Have a good night!

:banana:Ok you caught me making my post for today because here its
1:15 am and yes i’m still up. We are like worlds apart. Wow that sounds
like fun. I just wanted to let you know that Donna’s Computer has been
down and we hope to get her up and running as soon as possible hopefully
next week. You can leave her a post and sometimes she will be running good
but others it won’t run at all. So hopefully soon!
Have a great weekend! :bouncy:

Oh! The photo dvd thing sounds like fun! I love doing stuff like that. RYC: We have a lot of people here in WV that say “worsh” too…and it’s always flea markets & fog here, too.
Di—-glad your schoolyear started off well. I hope there was nothing but good news at the oncologist’s office. The video idea sounds great! Since my daughter is getting married and moving in January, and my son no longer needs me to stay on his tail for school, it may just be time for me to find a time consuming hobby!!
FYI: The lunch on thursday ran late because of two things. First, we waited until Amanda got off work, which was after 1:30, so we didn’t even get to the restaurant until 2ish. We went to Red Lobster, and Anthony ordered the lobster. Well, he had never had lobster, ended up hating it, and had to order something different, which took even more time. We could have made it to the testing center, but just barely. I didn’t want him to be rushed and stressed when he walked in there, so we decided to wait til next week. He WAS glowing tho, and his eyes were all lit up–this from a child who has had “dead eyes” for SO long. I can only pray that God uses this victory (about school) to propel him thru the next stage of his life, and for him to finally believe that he is not a failure.
It’s time for me to sleep. I just got off work, and have been up for almost 30 hours now. til later……..lis
