  • oh... I also went to my immune doctor this morning and the oncologist this afternoon.  The immune dr says that my fibromyalgia is back pretty bad, so we are going to try some supplements to ease the pain a bit and to boost my immune system.  Also, I will start the Vit C flush in a week or so.  I will do it weekly at least through the end of the year.  This will detox my system from any of the chemo and other things that's in it as well as boost my immune system.

The oncologist says I'm doing great.  All my blood tests are normal.  I have to repeat the CT scan (chest, abdomen and pelvis) on 1/5/05.  I'm not concerned about the them finding cancer again (as in even though we did all we did, it still spread), however, there's always that little dig in the back of my mind.

  • Well, I had a blast away at the cabin.  I got 92 pages done (46
front and back)!  Many laughs, many memories... lots of silly fun.

I was reading my devotional on Saturday morning and came across a
sentence that just through me.... Oswald Chambers is difficult to read
sometimes, but this one takes the cake.

October 30 is in reference to Heb 11:6 "Without faith it is impossible to please Him."  The first sentence he writes:

"Faith in antagonism to common sense is fanaticism, and common sense in antagonism to faith is rationalism."

Now at 7am in the morning after not too much sleep, I couldn't grasp
this.  I did read on and most of the rest of it made sense, but
not in relation to the above statement.  I brought it out to
breakfast to share with the other ladies.  Liisa had the same
reaction as I, as we read on trying to fit what he explained
into the meaning of the above.  However, Teri came out and when we
said it to her it was like watching a light bulb go on.  She was
like, wow that's great -- that means this and that and then as we read
on the whole thing made sense to all of us.

It's just funny how to one something can seem so foreign and to
another it makes perfect sense.  The great thing is how we
all have something to bring to the "table" to encourage each other
    with.

If you have My Utmost for His Highest, look up Oct 30 and give it a
read and let me know what you think.  If you have the "updated
edition in today's language", I'd be interested to hear if they changed
    that first line.

  • Very tired to day.  Lots to do but not enough time to accomplish it all... well, not so much lots to do, rather lots I want to do!   I leave early tomorrow for the weekend (8:20 am)!  YEAH!

This morning in my quiet time the Lord gave me these encouraging verses as I'm seeking wisdom on several different things!  The Lord is faithful!!!!!!!

    Proverbs 2:6-12

For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding.  He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk in intergrity, guarding the paths of justice, And He preserves the way of His godly ones. Then you will discern righteousness and justice and equity and every good cource. **For wisdom will enter your heart and knowledge will be pleasent to your soul;** discretion will guard you, understanding will watch over you, to deliver you from the way of evil.....

  • This week has been interesting.  So much to do and so little time
to just sit and rest.  I'm leaving early Friday for the
mountains!  YEAH!   Gonna go scrapbook for the weekend.

This last Friday was ran into Steve's parents at a play (42nd Street)
our nephews were in.  This is the first time we have seen them
since we told them if they didn't get some serious counceling we'd not
be hanging around them (so like I haven't seen them since like May - but
we only told them that in September).  We were not expecting to
see them there.  I actually changed the night that we were going
because last week was such a emotionally draining week that I DID'T
want to run into them to add to the stress of it all!!!

So -- there we were, 10 minutes to show time when --POW -- they show
up.  I snuck over to my sister-in-law, Debbie, to tell her.
She and her husban were working the theater doors collecting tickets.
As she look ups, she spies them and quickly escorts me, Iz and Val
along with herself  through this door and quicky shuts it behind
her.  It's a little storage room.  So there we were.
Two grown women hiding out in a little storage room -- I mean, how
    disfucntional is that!!!!!!!

So we are just standing there - I had turned off the lights so in case
someone opened the door, they wouldn't see us at all or very good - in the dark,
laughing, trying to figure out what to do.  They have both said
some pretty nasty things about Debbie and I recently and neither of us
wanted to go out there and, as they would always do with us, pretend
everything is fine.  So after a few minutes I tell Debbie to peek
out and see if they are still there.  And right as she
    does.........

my father-in-law is standing opposite the door and smiles at her
(we are pretty sure he knew we were in there and was waiting for us to
come out!).  So she quickly turns around and picks up this, like,
cookie dish -- so to seem like she had a reason for being in the
room.  She exits out and can't avoid but say hi, and quicly walks
away and ask this lady if she this is the dish she wanted - and of
course, this lady looks at her like she's from another planet -- so she
comes back to the room, but the door is locked. She knocks, but I don't
know it's her, so I don't answer!  Then I hear saying, "it's me,
open the door!"  Ha! So I let her in and she says they went and
took their seat and we can come out now.  We were commenting when
we were in the room, that even if they had seen us go in their they
wouldn't know what the room was or anything.  And as we come out
and I shut the door, I notice that it says in big letters "ELECTRICAL
    CLOSET".  ahahhhahhhahaaaaahahahhahahah!

This is my pathetic life at times!
Me, a 41 year old, hiding in an electrical closet to avoid my
in-laws.  I swear, looking back it was like something you'd see in
    the movies.

  • It's meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
