Val does it again!
Yikes… just catching a simple football at church yesterday and Bam! another broken bone — actually it’s a fracture – a chip fracture in her middle joint, but a fracture none the less that needs to be splinted for 4 weeks.
It
happened right after church yesterday, and at first glance, I noticed
the black and blue between the base of the finger and the middle joint – I check for a break in the bones of the finger, but it seemed
fine and she was able to bend it some, although she was having pain if you pushed on or tried to move her middle joint of the finger. So I was just hoping it was
jammed. It didn’t look so great last night, so I taped it to her middle finger. However, this morning she woke up and it was very swollen and
more black and blue.
I was thankful that they didn’t cast it — this way she is able to unsplint it for a shower and then has to resplint it again – so no messing with not getting it wet. Very thankful it wasn’t worse – but a bit exasperated at the amount of breaks and fractures this kid has had (I think this makes 4). My hard core dainty princess!

Since I had to go to the doctor, I took Julie too — as she has been having sinus problems for a month. We had tried several types of meds and nothing seemed to give her any relief. Turns out she has a sinus infection.
Praise God for dr’s, x-ray equipment, anti-inflamatories and antibiotics!!! They both should be mending up just great!!!
Have a great week.

Maybe she needs to take up a sport other than football? Maybe somthing that doesn’t use hands?
Poor you having to go to the doctor on a Monday.
Blessings to you all.
Oh my. Why mothers get grey.
May she heal quickly.
Ah haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!! I knew it!! I knew it all along!! lol! XD Poor thing kept talkin to me about how painful it was, and it was all swollen and I’m like “If it’s still hurting Val, it might even be a small fracture!” That’s exactly what I thought it could be. How funny!! XD
Psh, and on her right hand too. Bummeeeeeer. Tell her I hope she feels better. =3
OH I told the boys not to throw that hard football at our dainty princesses! They aren’t built for rough and tough games. Glad you took them in – funny how we go back and forth between should we – shouldn’t we. Give her a hug for me!
We had one daughter who we told, “if you live to be 10 you will live to be 100!” Who says us mothers of all daughters won’t make as many trips to the ER??? And she got a princess purple wrap! XO
Haha, nice. Crazy Valerie. Yeah, I screwed up my knee playing on Sunday. Usually I don’t bother bout stuff when I get “hurt” but this time I am actually using a knee brace. Weird. But, it was still super fun!
It is in Tulare which is an hour away from Fresno. Before we moved to IN, we lived in Glendora, just outside Pasadena. My dad moved up to Tulare about three years ago. We don’t know anyone else in that area, but after four years being without any family, we are ready to where the kids can spend time with grandparents!
